Snowshoeing & Lake Toya Tour
Lake Toya has some of the most spectacular scenery in Hokkaido and people instantly fall in love with the mysterious charm and energy of the area. What better way to experience it than an adventurous private tour!
In the morning, strap on your snowshoes and explore the serene surroundings of the lake with your friendly guide from Imagine. You’ll marvel at the snow-covered landscapes as you trek with expansive views of the lake through the peaceful woods, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. After a morning of exploring the snowscape on foot, we’ll hop back in the bus to continue visiting various points of interest around the lake.
A brief stop in our favourite of the lakeside towns gives you the chance to read up about this UNESCO Geopark’s volcanic history, grab a coffee, shop in quaint local food shops or simply enjoy a tranquil moment by the water. Rather than telling people exactly what to look at or do, we believe in letting our guests enjoy these moments in the way they feel like at the time, at their own pace.
After the town stop, we take you to a charming shrine followed by a high viewpoint with spectacular views. There are also additional options such as snowmobiling or snow rafting, enjoying a wonderful lakeside onsen or even a sushi dinner (all of which can simply be paid for separately on the day if you choose to do them at the time).
With such a range of sights, culture and activities, this is the perfect premium day trip to round off your ski holiday in Hokkaido.
